Zeta Excellance Exposed: Chrisette Michelle
Chrisette Michelle has always been that girl, but now she can proudly embrace her new title as a ‘finer woman” of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. For those who may not know, Zeta Phi Beta has a rich history dating back to the year 1920. Zeta represents the ideals of charity, scholarship, service, sisterhood, finer womanhood and black excellence. Chrisette Michelle is a Grammy award winning soulful R&B singer. She gave us the strength to leave that failing relationship on songs like “Epiphany”. She made us fall in love with her gorgeous melodies and pure sweet lyrics on “A couple of forevers’ ‘. We can’t forget riding shotgun with our boo blasting “Aston Martin Music” in the summer of 2010. She is not only beautiful and talented but her values of service and community are aligned with those of the Zeta Phi Beta sisterhood. She has worked with philanthropic organizations such as UNICEF, VH1’s save the music and Amnesty International. She has also given speeches to students at Temple, Howard and Spellman university. Even Barack Obama is a fan featuring her song “If I have my way” on his famous summer playlist.
